Big Questions
If you could ask God any question, what would it be? We all have those questions tucked away in the backs of our minds that we would love to get the answers to; what happened at the beginning of Time? Is there life in the cosmos beyond Earth? How do our brains generate conscious thought? What is the secret blend of 11 herbs and spices in the KFC recipe?
There are just some things we cannot know. However, this doesn’t stop us from asking big questions everyday of our lives. We wonder what the meaning of life really is. Is there life after death? When will there be peace and security for all people in the world? These are the types of questions the Bible can help to answer.
During September we will be endeavouring to answer questions that people in Ashby are asking about the Bible, faith and God. We’ve been collecting the burning questions which you, the good folks of North West Leicestershire, would like answers to. We’re not claiming that we are inspired prophets who can solve every problem. We are however a church filled with people who have spent a lifetime studying the Bible to find out what God tells us about the big issues that face us in our everyday lives.
There is still time to add your question to the list we will be tackling. Visit ashbychurch.co.uk/big-questions or simply scan the QR code below this article. We’ll be answering the questions we receive to the best of our ability during our Bible Half Hour sessions at 10am on each Sunday in September and we’d love for as many people as possible to come along to hear what we have to say.
