I’m sure you enjoy receiving treats. Perhaps some chocolate when you are on a diet, a meal out, some free time, or a day of relaxation at a spa. From time to time we all like to spoil ourselves. A treat is a luxury, it can uplift us, it creates a moment of happiness and gives us a break from our daily routine.
Like many people this month, you may be faced with the question, “Trick or treat?” Each Halloween, children go from house to house, searching out and asking for treats, such as sweets. As for all of us, receiving such treats will bring a moment of happiness but once eaten, the moment has gone. Sadly like many treats, a moment of indulgence often only last a short time.
However, if you are looking for a treat that will last for a lifetime, then you don’t need to keep searching in the dark. Treat yourself today and pick up a Bible to find out about God’s message and what it means for you. The Bible message is clear and simple with no hidden tricks or unpleasant surprises!
God wants us all to learn about him and his amazing plans for the future; plans that involve you. The Bible tells us of a better time to come when God will send his son, Jesus, back to the earth to set up his Kingdom. So read the Bible today to seek out how you can be a part of this. What better treat could there be?
Jesus says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7 vs 7-8.
