What can we learn from reading the Bible?
The Bible isn’t just an old book, it is God’s manual for our lives. Through the Bible we get to know God and understand what life is really about.
For example, as you read it::
> You start to see what God’s character is like: He’s loving, fair, compassionate and always keeping His promises.
> You also discover His bigger plan: He wants a world filled with peace and goodness, right here on earth.
> You are introduced to God’s son Jesus: His life shows us how to live, how to deal with each other, how to approach his father
> You see the important role Jesus has: His death and resurrection show us God’s willingness to making a way for people to be part of his family and a future Kingdom.
> You realise it’s also really practical! The Bible helps shape how we think and act day to day, encouraging things like kindness, honesty, patience, and forgiveness.
> Perhaps most importantly, it gives hope. It reminds us that God has a purpose, that life isn’t random, and that there’s something far better ahead.
